Eilean Donan Castle Skies
This Eilean Donan Castle digital download captures the iconic stone bridge leading to the castle beneath a vast, streaking sky. The tide was fully out, leaving a bed of seaweed-covered rock stretching across the foreground.
I photographed this at low tide, waiting for the clouds to start moving across the sky above the castle. A long exposure let the sky do the talking, streaking past while the castle and bridge stayed sharp and still below. It’s a view that’s been photographed a thousand times, but that sky made it feel like a different place entirely.
