Mist over Skye
This Mist over Skye digital download captures the Old Man of Storr wrapped in rolling cloud, its jagged pinnacle fading into the mist above a rock-strewn hillside and small lochans below. A weathered boulder sits in the foreground, framing the scene.
I photographed this on Skye as low mist rolled in across the Storr, softening the famous pinnacles and swallowing the ridgeline behind them. The green hillside stayed lit even as everything above it disappeared into grey. Conditions like this only last a few minutes before the mist closes in completely or clears altogether.
This Mist over Skye digital download suits anyone who loves atmospheric, moody landscape photography or Skye’s dramatic scenery. It also appeals to hillwalkers and anyone who has made the climb up to the Storr themselves. It prints beautifully at any size from A4 through to A1, and suits both modern and traditional interiors.
