Stag in the Glen
This Highland stag download captures a magnificent red deer stag standing proud in a wild Highland glen. Rolling hills and a still loch stretch out behind him under a heavy grey sky.
I came across this stag on a quiet afternoon out in the glen. He stood completely still, watching me with total confidence. The mist hung low over the hills behind him. I framed the shot in black and white to bring out the texture of his antlers and coat. Encounters like this are one of my favourite parts of photographing the Highlands.
